This is a bummer from the stand point that Leyva has real potential as a 10, and he's been a great piece of the bench in the last year. But, he deserves playing time, and I wish him nothing but the best.

I thought I read somewhere that Haak is planning to decline his option. I'm pretty high on Snyder B as well, but I don't know if he's quite ready to take the step up to full time starter should Obed leave. If SSFC can afford him, I think Haak would be great on a 2 year deal to help bridge the gap.

There were periods of play this season when they looked unstoppable. Regardless of their end of season G+A, I think Ferreira and De La Vega made this team significantly better in attack.

Our inability to hold multi-goal leads and defend set pieces was our undoing this year, unfortunately. I don't think these are necessarily long term problems though, luckily.

I understand this is probably a FIFA rule and not an MLS rule, so not a lot to be done about it at the end of the day

Makes sense, in that case. Not that it really makes a difference, but I don't understand why a team should have to remove a player from their lineup for a shootout if the other team got a red card. Seems like it should be a natural consequence of earning a red card to be down a field player.
