If I had to guess, even if Hochul isn’t against the idea (though she might be) she thinks upping the price will bring headlines and renewed scrutiny from right-wing media and just doesn’t want the headache

I remember looking for one at the time (2022ish) but the couple regional COYOTE chapter websites I checked out hadn’t been updated in years (definitely saw some vintage ones on eBay though)

I think you’re right, it’s a reason for people with different prerogatives to get together. In NY, I went to the segment of No Kings organized by AFL-CIO member unions that had a separate starting point and was very much a labor march while also being a No Kings event

The trick is to find a photo of a famous person with their head shaved that matches with your own shaved-head hairline. Then you can use photos of the same person with it grown out as an example for your barber bc celebs get it cut to go with their hairlines
