Happy New Year! I admittedly have not had the best year nor the best mindset during it but there have been many ups in relation to the downs. Got to meet new people, visit some old friends, make new connections and overall have a positive community here and in life. Heres to wishing for a great year

I have returned and I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who wished me well on my birthday yesterday. Hit the big 20 mark finally, and I am exhausted from all the party stuff that happened between friends and family.

Now time to continue that daunting list of backlog items to draw....

Working in black and white changes the fundamentals of an image, as seen here. Contrast moves the eyes, while detail holds it. Had fun with this one. Your thoughts?
A set of roof beams set above a tiled roof. Shadows are cast upon each beam, dividing the light with shadow. The front beam stays dark, knowing that its time is not now. The middle beam stands strong, bathed in detail and light. The back beam looks on in jealousy, bathed in the same light but lacking the detail. This competition takes centre point of the image.

Architecture has been a bit of a heavy feature in my photography. I like the geometricality as well as the depth that can be captured. Are you a fan of architecture? As boring as that may seem?
An architecture photo. The building is old, half bathed in the warm light of the sun, half in the cool shadow of a much larger building beyond the lens. The sky behind the building is clear and blue, contrasting the dark red window grid.

I love drawing with light. However, it does get a bit physically taxing. So, sticking my camera out the car window suffices. Do you think so?
Streaks of red, green and yellow lights paint across the canvas. The background is dark, and the streaks are bright. The red beams feature heavily throughout the image, being supported by the vibrant greens, followed by the low and nearly hidden yellows. Like lightning, the streaks are jagged in their path, cause by shaky camera movements.

A bright. lustrious cityscape image, taken around the time of sunset. The Greens of the foreground trees acts as a veil to the shining beauty of the buildings behind them. In front of the trees, a river-side bar, full of life and celebration. The river, smooth as glass, reflects the beautiful blues of the sky and buildings.
