The screenings for giftedness are very inaccurate when done before approx grade 3. It is often very difficult or even impossible to make 6 or 7 years old sit through the full process and answer questions or solve problems they have no interest in.

He is talking about kindergarten and early grades. As a mother of the gifted child ( in Canada) i fully support. It is, though, necessary grade 3/4 and up.
