I went to see Synecdoche, New York in theaters when it came out. Just as the last line of the movie was delivered, a ladder that was propped up next to the screen (???) loudly fell over. The movie was so surreal, no one in the audience knew if it was part of the movie or not.

It was such a weird edge case that no normal customer service person knew what I was talking about or cared. Lesson learned. Physical media with your own digital backups is really the only option if you care about shit like this.

Learned this lesson many moons ago when it was called Google Music. I purchased a digital version of the "extended" edition of an album. Each track was significantly longer than it's standard version. Once it switched to Play Music or whatever the heck, all of a sudden I had the standard version.

I have yet to see any avatar movie, idk “unobtanium” just seems like something an 8 year old would come up with. I get that it’s a real word but it just sounds silly

Oddity was so good it got me to revisit Caveat. McCarthy can really build tension and pull off “jump scares” in a way that doesn’t feel like a cheap trick. It’s GREAT stuff.
