Summary:
Jeongguk hardly looks up when Yoongi asks if he’s okay.

Yoongi reaches into his bag and begins peeling. The citrus stings where his skin is gnawed off from the nerves and stress, but when the fruit is bare and split into slices, he sticks the whole thing out to Jeongguk. “Here. Help me finish these. They’re really sweet. I know you’re going to go straight to bed when we get home, so try to eat something now.”

Jeongguk’s eyes flicker between the plump tangerine and Yoongi. When he finally cracks a shy smile, his fingers reach up to pluck the fruit from Yoongi’s palm with a murmured “thanks, hyung.” The car ride is a bit longer than usual, but the two of them just sit in silence again, tangerine peels piling up on the car seat in between them as the fruit disappears from Yoongi’s bag one by one.
