There's no news of note at the weekend.

It's all sport -- cultural reinforcement.

Here's the latest from the [insert sport] stadium.

Monday's news: A roundup of weekend sport.

Religions shd be examined for veracity, required to provide proof of their various claims, be obliged to abandon the bs.

Eg: Jesus turned water into wine. Did he really? Water is made of H2O, wine is made from grape juice--a lengthy process.

ALL religions are Man-made inventions. Always were.

Did he mention that gas exporters are allowed to export gas "surplus to requirements" free of charge (royalties)?

The story so far:

Hamas & Israel have agreed to begin exchanging hostages & prisoners.

The IDF has agreed to pull back from the front line, which means they remain in Gaza for now.

A Liberal polly was rattling on abt Labor fedgovt today, mentioned "world class civil service" providing advice.

I immediately thought of fedgovt's use of huge consulting firms, giving questionable advice, at inflated prices.

I don't know why 2024-25 data is not included.

I'm sure the deadline for posting it after election has been brought forward from earlier years.

Great to see our research being used in Parliament!

Australia Institute research shows that the proposed changes to Freedom of Information laws would make a repeat of the Robodebt coverup more likely, not less.

So - let me get this straight…

They’ll ban social media for under 16s even though most experts say it WON’T work

But they won’t ban gambling advertising & other key recommendations even though most experts say it WILL work

What? #4corners #auspol

Trump recently claimed the US has secured $17 trillion in new investments – an amount so vast it would have wiped out the national debt and still left room for universal healthcare, free college, and a lifetime supply of golf carts for every American.

Trump claims he’s secured $17 trillion in investments - OK, where is it?
Somehow, the federal government has run out of money and shut down.So - where’s the $17 trillion in foreign investments Trump boasts about?

We had hopes that long awaited anti-corruption commission wd investigate some pollies, recommend prosecution if required (#Watergate, #Robodebt).

See how that's turned out.

What principle is it that protects politicians from being held to account for neglect, damage or malfeasance?
