How do book illustrators not crash out after making a beautiful detailed piece then realizing later on that a huge block of text will cover the like 80% of it

Here's a preview of a comic I drew for @miaowzine.bsky.social Miaow is a digital charity zine with proceeds going to RAPS Cat Sanctuary, a no kill shelter that provides a home to "unadoptable" cats in British Columbia, Canada.

I just really like the biblically accurate angel meme and wanted to draw my own. It deviated a bit from my initial sketch but I like how it ended up! Plus I got to play around (a little) with effects on CSP.

Today in a cafe, a little boy was sitting next to me and he quietly watched me draw fan art with my laptop and tablet until his mom came to fetch him. This is the only type of situation I'd be comfortable with if someone is watching me draw.
