And I wouldn't want Ize to do them on their own, because they aren't the authors and authors are still alive. That's why I'm more of a fan of the current short author's notes we get as proof sns still have things to say to us.

I don't agree with this since some of ORV's afterwords are a part of the text. The only change I would accept would be adding another fore/afterword on top of the already existing one, but then it would create an issue of how to spread it through a Korean audience.

Hm, I mean more as consuming the main story as a separate piece. Yes, you can do that. You can consume part 1 of ORV as a separate piece as well, but it still means there will be a continuation. In the first place, ORV is written as a webnovel not published books so it's hard for me to think about

Yeah, Ize has rights to the ebook and they are publishing ebook, but side story is serialized under the webnovel. It's fair to not be sure if they would be able to publish them as well.

But, "that's an insane statement" doesn't mean I disagree, but more something "wow, I'm shocked to find someone who thinks that way, I would never even think about that" and then I explained why🧍♂️It wasn't meant to be malicious.

But also about the side stories. Their prologue states that even if they are called the side stories "they are not separate from the main story". They are just called that for meta reasons.

IzePress is not rewriting ORV. They are just translating what they already have. We are getting everything from the Korean volume one.
If they included a different afterword then our experience would be vastly different from the Korean fandom and we would have never gotten the official translation
