Yes, the systematic name for bog rosemary is Andromeda polifolia. One of the names that Carl Linnaeus assigned.

Yes, the way the leaves of the giant water lily (Victoria amazonica) are supported is supposed to inspired design of the Crystal Palace. In the picture, students at 2nd Student Botany Festival look at one of these leaves in Oxford Botanic Garden.
