Fwiw your situation isn't abnormal especially with the part of the internet we came from where liking "normie things" was seen as shallow or embarrassing. Making irl friends is almost always a compromise but its honestly nice having friends that have other interests.

eh thats more so just the most common "being on the spectrum hyper interest" thing rather than a furry thing. A lot of furries just are on the spectrum. I know how it is to feel like out of place though but for me it's like a "Man I wish games and cartoons were made for people like me post 2000"

I feel the Dic cartoon especially had a problem with knowing what they wanted to do with. so when they did do slap stick it would almost feel out of place from the rest of the more mundane parts.
