A clear pattern emerges: countries with higher gender equality: Europe, the Americas, South Africa have more balanced male–female networks. Regions with stricter social norms around gender interaction, especially parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and S. Asia, show far fewer cross-gender ties.

I am so sorry that you lost your favorite toy. Did you ever find one that you felt the same attachment to? I have tools I really like but they can usually be easily replaced with identical items.
