Needing external validation puts us in a dysfunctional co-dependent relationship with the entire world, whereas healing our wounds liberates us from the confines of social conventions. We need role models with a moral compass 🙏

When there is no cure, there are coping skills and healthy habits we can form to replace detrimental ones. It isn't easy, but it is EASIER than spending the rest of our lives angry, burnt out, overthinking, anxious,stressed, sad, lazy, or impatient. 🙏 Practice. Practice. Practice.

"An easy trek in the wrong direction is ultimately much more difficult than an uphill climb toward euphoria." Not sure what page that's in Buddhist Boot Camp, but it's in there. I've never met a strong person with an easy past 🙏

Contentment is not attained by getting more, it's what happens when you want less. Then you can slow down enough to leisurely enjoy life instead of rushing to the same destination as everyone else. It's not a race nor a competition. Wake up! 🙏
