I became obsessed with this building. Read as much as I could of its history, kept up with what was happening with the old place, hunted for as many photos of inside the old farmhouse as possible, identified the sort of flowers that grew around it...

It became a part of me.

Using Gen AI removes any joy from the act of discovery and learning. It’s depressing that people want to shortcut their way through life this way now.

I have a whole universe with its own mythos that I explore and write about. I write fanfiction. I've published a few books. My fics have appeared in a few zines. Granted, I don't draw as often as before, but I would like to return to that. (And sometimes do art.)
