I met with my Vets Advisory Council today to hear directly from folks on the ground how the veteran community – and the VA workforce – are being impacted by this shutdown. We need a bipartisan deal to reopen the government, protect healthcare, and ensure veterans can access the services they need.

The Trump administration’s decision to DELAY the clean up of PFAS from the drinking water in and around Scott Air Force Base is unacceptable. Our military servicemembers and communities near the base deserve to know that the water coming out of their tap is clean and safe.
‘Deeply concerning.’ PFAS cleanup delayed at Scott Air Force Base
The Department of Defense recently released new timetables for the cleanup with no explanation.

Over the summer, Republicans wasted no time voting to extend massive tax breaks for billionaires that were set to expire at the end of this year.
