I don't pretend to understand GW's pricing and conversion policies but I can confirm that this has been the norm since the internet was a thing.

GW almost never matches conversion rates on their prices.

My guess is: they simply charge what people are willing to pay and conversion is irrelevant

I think we're going to end up with personal AIs trying to out-AI the corporate AIs

In my humble experience that usually means you're doing it right.
