So I just learned about the Lemon Pig last night. Made one. But now I’m wondering: Am I supposed to save it for the whole year? How has your pig managed not to simply decay in a gross and messy way? It looks remarkably well preserved.

The photo is misleading. Looks like it was a stock photo off Canva? I mean, I have little doubt that an actual Joro spider has found its way to Santa Barbara, but now (more) people will be freaking out at the sight of common Argiope species.

Years ago, I designated a category of my husband’s old/stained/holey t-shirts which were marked with a small “x” inside the collar and kept separate from the “good” shirts. Now long retired, the “x” shirts are integral to his everyday Old Guy uniform.
