First roses to flower again after the last hailstorm, with lots of buds on the bushes 🎉

Freshly dug spuds! 🥔😍
Royal Blue potatoes to accompany fish this evening 😉
They’re a decent size considering the plants got wiped out by hail recently! I would’ve left them to grow for several more months, and got a lot more from them, but that’s gardening for you 😬

The last two years they’ve eaten off new growth on my fruit trees, berries, and most other young trees! 🥺
I think I’m slowly getting them under control, but this year is a doozy with two waves of them 🤦🏻♀️

Really nice to see a burst of colour after the recent hail storms totally shredded my gardens… new leaves on everything again now 😊
At least the storms are watering everything and it’s given me a chance to concentrate on my manuscript again 😉🤓

Along with hail, my poor darlin’ doggo had an abscess behind her eye from a bone fragment getting caught up behind her back molar 🥺 So a trip to the lovely local vet, an op, antibiotics and she’s recovering well 😊❤️

My new front garden was just starting to fill in and looked lovely. The potatoes & roses esp got completely shredded 🫤
On the +side, they were small hailstones, just LOTS of them, so no broken windows 🤷🏻♀️
We got a flash flood too 🫠
