These were all done with pencil crayons which require a *lot* of layering. It would be really daunting to add new colours in any other situation, but because I don't give a shit I can just keep adding stuff until I literally can't saturate the colour any more

One of the best ways to get better at art is to allow yourself to fail. Colouring books are good because there is zero pressure that you're going to 'ruin' your drawing. That means you can try out all sorts of wacky techniques
