do you think this was an actual reference? Because I was watching that scene thinking the dreamlike style was a reference to something, but not having seen a huge amount of 80s movies, not really knowing what.

this is very cool. I really enjoyed the aesthetic so I may well have to check out Legend. I feel like I must have seen things with a similar aesthetic before but I can't really recall any. (Some of Labyrinth, maybe? but *whispers* I don't actually like Labyrinth)
