I’ve only been here a few hours and met some lovely people already. Thank you for saying hello.
Thought I’d drop in one of my favourite photos. It helped win me a portfolio commendation in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards. Taken in a snowstorm on the slopes of Arthur’s Seat.

A cold day here in northern Sweden, but not much snow yet. This is from our walk by the river in Umeå yesterday. Appropriately, it’s the University of Umeå School of Architecture building.

I was getting annoyed at the seagulls being blown into my photos by the gale, little blurry blobs flying so fast I couldn’t freeze them in shot without crazy ISO, but now I realise that they portray the reality of being in that storm. Feel the wind in your hair through a photo!

A few thoughts in the ALT text.
Love this view into an imaginary world - an image full of rich tones and textures. One of those images I just had to include for the way it captures the speed and adrenaline through the mud and chippings flying up at the lens Beautiful colours and patterns that draw me into the tree behind. So much captured in one image - lights, buildings, bustle, traffic, people, ... somehow all without looking messy.

I’m looking for new boats to photograph, ideally down the east coast, between say Newcastle and Hull but I could go further south. Boatyards are best, as are small harbours, but anywhere the yachts are lifted out in winter and aren’t locked up behind fences! DM me with ideas please!
