From the Latin ‘Matuta’, Roman goddess of the dawn, and the Greek ‘lype’, ‘grief’. Put them together and you get ‘morning grief’.

I didn’t think Orbital would be for me, but I was so pleasantly surprised. I’m out of my reading slump and I owe it to this small but fascinating book. It’s also the only book I picked up from The Booker Prize shortlist (and I never manage to predict a winner so I feel a bit smug about that 🙂‍↕️) 💙📚
