I have a friend in Chile who is happy that Kast has won. She says the current communist government is corrupt, crime is rampant, and that there are no opportunities for decent employment. She believes that any change would be better. She sounds like an angry trump voter.

There's a lot that I was taught in public school that turned out to be bullshit. Ironically, math, my most challenging subject, never lied to me (well, except about the importance of the speed of various trains getting to their respective stations. That was a waste of my time.).
