I talk AZ politics, national politics, Chicago sports, music, 90 day fiance, and the endless void.
We now have so many exceptions to the 4th amendment it no longer exists.

Amen. Dem consultants on X are fighting over word choice without the slightest understanding that the problem is how these issues are framed and broadcast in the media. It’s malpractice to line their pockets.

Absolutely shameless. Has he given one statement about his colleague @karenattiah.bsky.social being fired for her speech?

Everyone should ignore this paid shill.

This isn’t an argument. It’s sophistry in service of BS.

But the price of groceries has risen as has the cost of living. Are liberals on this site under some mass delusion?
August 5, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Wage growth has not kept up with the increase in grocery prices and ignores increases across the board for rent, childcare, energy.

And of course wage growth is not uniform while price increases generally are. I’m not sure why you all are denying observable reality or have discarded nuance.

But prices have increased. The price of groceries have increased 17% in 3 years.

We have to fight against false impressions. But the cost of living has clearly gone up. And pols should respond to very real world issues.

According to CBS News, the price of groceries has increased 17% in 3 years. This coincides with rising rent, taxes, travel, education, and cost of goods. Telling struggling people that groceries are the “LOWEST they’ve ever been in history” may feel cathartic but it’s a losing message.

Matt Yglesias, Democratic thought leader, has just discovered the southern strategy.

His recommendation? Surrender.

The vision and leadership on the centrist wing of the party is broken.
August 4, 2025 at 11:55 PM
I hate to keep coming back to this but there is a straight line between Matt’s ignorant attacks on Kendi and CRT, which he claimed was being taught in elementary schools, and bans on DEI. Direct. MattY is bad and he hangs on X for validation from literal white supremacists.

They literally knew a famine was coming and hid the data.
July 27, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Liberals really need to come to terms with Biden’s complicity in the genocide. This didn’t start in January.
July 27, 2025 at 5:49 PM
It isn’t. MattY has been steering towards the FP and Weiss POV for awhile. Look at who he promotes…

Incredible essay in its simplicity and truth. This seems self-evident to me - centrists who rallied against “wokeness” like Bari Weiss, Matt Yglesias, Chait and Barro helped create the censorious moment we now find ourselves in. Worse, they almost all refuse to acknowledge their role.

This is one of the most aggressively racist things I've ever seen on a @nytimes.com reporters account. Yet Bouie is disciplined while these racist assertions (he centered identity) and conclusions (he lied on his college entrance exams) are fit to print? Embarrassing racism from the Times editors.

Crash inspired me to stop watching movies for a year. I drove ppl crazy, I couldn't stop hating on it. I was so confused. I felt like I lost 2 hours of my life. That movie winning an Academy Award shifted my worldview. It made me sideye white liberals. I think that movie foretold this picture.

Will. What are you talking about? Multiple students have been disappeared because of their speech. Are you saying it doesn't count bc they were on Visas or green card holders?

Is this victory? It doesn't feel like victory.
