There’s also the Unhook extension, which lets you hide specific elements on the YouTube website (recommendations, shorts, etc) so you can watch videos without being distracted by the algorithm

There is a browser extension called Adnauseum that blocks ads through uBlock Origin while simultaneously registering a click on every blocked ad. Ads are priced based on the number of clicks, so if enough people do this, the ads will become more expensive and less profitable, decreasing the demand
