I wish our buses had this and of course the easy to pull into level boarding stops to go with it. The amount of time wasted pulling in and out of difficult stops and having a flip out ramp takes a lot of time. This also feels way more equitable as it can be done every time for everyone

A standard feature on most low-floor trams I saw in #Zürich : the fold-down extensions that allow for easy boarding for people in wheelchairs and with strollers.

I personally enjoy walking around downtown but I have to want to do a few things not just one thing. And I’ve lost a lot of shops over years I’ve enjoyed so things have become more spaced out or same/similar options are somewhere else now

Well if rents to high to operate that basically means there isn’t enough customers. Obviously also stupid landlord to give up on a tenant to gamble on empty storefront or idea someone will pay more. Whatever the reasons for Closures it amounts to less foot traffic on that block

I mean I think it’s a bit more grey than so black and white. Latest study shows record number of homelessness. Their is definitely a lot of long term
Businesses moving or closing in downtown. At same time way more people living downtown. And yes cruise ship/tourism seems up.
