On Veterans Day, we honor those who served with courage and conviction. They remind us that authentic leadership is about serving others. May we carry that forward in our associations, communities, and daily work. Thank you.

Native American and Indigenous people's leadership and community-centered values continue to shape who we are and who we aspire to be. May we listen, learn, and honor—this month and beyond.

Halloween is a great reminder: fear often wears the mask of change.
At Association Activision, we help associations see beyond the spooky and shape what’s next with foresight and courage.

Does Money Talk? Corruption and Good!

Money can heal or harm. It funds good works—or fuels corruption when drawn to power. Let’s demand accountability and ensure our resources reflect our values.

Why We Need Government Workers More Than Ever

Behind every safe street, clean glass of water, and open school are government workers who serve—not for profit, but for people.
Their work holds the country together. Support them.

Tradition Without Evolution Is Regression

From women’s suffrage to civil rights, progress comes from knowledge, not nostalgia. Let’s trust science, research, and courage to lead us—not political kickbacks to hold us back.

Foul Language – Stewardship – The Future

When leaders use foul & abusive language, they fail us all. Civility is not weakness—it’s the strength that sustains dialogue & builds trust. This is not the future we want. Lead and speak out

Bridging divides starts with listening—something associations do best. It’s our shared purpose and commitment to community that bring people together. Lead the way with respectful dialogue, learn from differences, and remember, collaboration outlasts conflict. #ASAE #Leadership #Unity #FAB

Clarity in Fearful Times
Roosevelt said, “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
Associations can’t shrink back now. We must defend speech, inquiry, and inclusion—and do so with clarity and courage.
How is your association showing courage today?

Science – not story myths

Forget the “boiling frog” myth—frogs adapt + escape rising heat. A better metaphor: the heron in a drying pond. It moves before resources vanish. Associations must notice subtle changes, use foresight, and act early to thrive. #Associations #AdaptiveLeadership #FutureReady

17 September - U.S. Constitution Day

The Constitution isn’t a relic—it’s orchard soil. It bears fruit only if we work it, season after season. Constitution Day asks us not only to remember, but to labor for what’s promised.

Science and Policy making:

Science isn’t optional in policy, it’s essential. When evidence guides decisions, communities thrive. When it doesn’t, we gamble with the future.

Division Won’t Deliver Solutions
Disruption surrounds us, but division need not define us. Civil dialogue is not a weakness—it is wisdom. We cannot solve disruptive problems with destructive conversations.

Museums

Recent efforts to diminish or silence uncomfortable histories in museums are concerning. A healthy democracy doesn’t hide from its past; it learns from it.

Museums provide evidence that historians, researchers, and citizens need to reflect honestly on who we are and who we want to become.
