Florida: we stupidly have the Northern Mockingbird as our state bird, which is quite commonly found here but also ubiquitous throughout much of the eastern pat of the country and the state bird of multiple states. The Florida Scrub Jay, endemic to Florida, should be our state bird.

I was planning a trip over the holidays, so we could explore for a few days, but I had an ER visit this week that is going to wipe the savings account. Life is rude like that sometimes. Maybe next year!
