If you look closely, she turned her head to look at me (or as I prefer to believe, she smiled for the camera 😁). Honestly, I have never seen this behavior before in my over 40,000 butterfly photos.

Thrilled to share this absolutely gorgeous Red-spotted Purple butterfly on a wild Honeysuckle shrub on the edge of our northeastern woods today.

Yes, I know it’s more blue than purple, with orange spots, not red. I don’t name them. 🙂

Hi Goodport. It was definitely tasty. I decided not to slice the pork loin after cooking. I am happy with the results. I will only serve it whole for now on. I cut it in half before cooking in a Dutch oven in a little duck fat.

Pork Loin with fennel flowers, rosemary and shallots, topped with its au jus reduced with a little white wine.

Side of roasted organic Delicata Squash, finished under the broiler with toasted goat cheese.
