CEOs talking to truth to power is rich.

The CEOs won’t get us far though unless we can add on a Senator Collins deeply concerned statement.

Thank you… needed a big laugh.

Don’t forget:

Minnesota is the State of Hockey.

Team game, tough, skill, effort, and grit required.

Not saying everyone in Minnesota plays hockey. But the people there are showing G R I T.

IRONY: no ICE in the State of Hockey.

But these firms often times support the local operas, charity galas…

Not to mention their strong working relationships with the press and government…

Oddly enough, Texas, specifically ERCOT, might be the real surprise moving forward. Remember it is Texas so the game was ORIGINALLY rigged for fossil fuel incumbents. But now more than 80% of new generation there is Solar + Storage. And that is why the data centers love Texas... the math thing.

2nd Panel ( of three) was more consumer focused. Structurally we ( the consumer) pay for the profits of the utilities. And, guess what? We are paying a bit more than needed. A billion here, a billion there, but even that adds up. Those extra dollars are not trivial at the family level.

Consumer Advocate suggests that we need a law about those pesky energy suppliers who offer teaser rates and then jack it up once the teaser period ends. Yep, those companies suck too. Odd idea by Advocate to then send people back to their original utility company when teaser ended. Hmm...

President of Energy Association of PA, Andy Tubbs, on the first panel ( aka The Incumbents ) also suggested that welfare cheats, we know who you are, are now stealing our electricity too. Plus, the Energy Association has a real concern about Net Metering... yep, the solar has got to go.

Utility Industry ( incumbents ) response:

( S I L E N C E )

Then the usual spiels... PJM - we are doing everything we can possibly do with the exception of what is needed. Plus we are a non profit... our interests are as pure as the snow on your lawn here PA homeowners.

Background:
300,000 PA families had either gas or electric cut off due to non payment in 2025.

Over a 1,000,000 PA residents spend more than 10% of their income on utility bills, often cutting back on food or healthcare.

Transmission costs alone up 400% since 2014.

It is good to have plans / dreams.

Kudos on the design and execution.

But, seriously, that photo does not really highlight the solar… maybe get a drone ( not so expensive) and take a photo that shows the glass… better yet, take a photo when the snow is gone!

Great to see this information!

Thank you for helping people visualize grid mix.

Always enjoy seeing milestones like solar is now producing x % of current mix or solar is now outperforming this fossil fuel or that.

Thank you for updating the graph to show solar only. That is helpful.

PJM’s strides, however increased, are dangerously slow compared to the transition needed.

Worse yet, recent 51 projects that were fast tracked by PJM included NO solar!

They are striding towards a big problem.
