New feat unlocked: firewalled off my USB keyboard from a machine by mistake. Had to mask usbguard.service via systemd kernel parameter to get around it. This is like locking yourself out of SSH but worse when combined with breaking networking.

I triaged this to cryptsetup 2:2.7.0-1ubuntu4.2, and to whatever version of the ubuntu installer was used to build my 24.04.03 system.

If it can’t reach the apiserver (VIP down, bad route, etc.), you get logs like:

TIL if you have a domain in firefox's about:config network.dns.localDomains list, it won't pass A record lookups for that apex domain to your local resolver - it will resolve to loopback instead.
