It’s a cliche now, but techbros never seem to get the message of any of the sci-fi/fantasy they claim to love. They seem to just scan the cover, maybe the blurb on the back, and go with the cool names. It’s that old tweet: “We made the TerrorNexus from that book called Don’t Make The TerrorNexus.”

as a condition of funding, we were asked to affirm that we wouldn’t undertake any diversity, equity, and inclusion work, whether or not we used the government funds to do so. The PSF simply couldn’t agree to that statement,
