Ferrari fans have had it rough for sure this past year, but try being a Jacques Villeneuve fan during the post-Williams phase of his career and having very up and down levels of hits and misses when driving for BAR. #F1 #Formula1

While it would eventually be Alonso who would become the threat to Schumacher and Ferrari's dominance, rewatching the early 2000s seasons and I'm reminded how for a moment we all thought Juan Pablo Montoya was the one who had the potential to be the challenger to the throne. #Formula1 #F1

So, I'm an F1TV Pro subscriber, and I know that from January F1TV Premium will be solely on Apple TV. That's fine, I'll make the change because I love #F1. However, I've heard from some places that F1TV will still be accessible in the US if you have an Apple TV account. Can anyone corroborate this?

The magic of rewatching older F1 races is seeing something like Schumacher and Alonso celebrating their podium at Spain in 2003 but knowing the rivalry that will develop only two years later. #Formula1

It's not impossible. Similar things have happened before. Alonso was at Minardi in 2001, test drove for Renault in 2002 and was back on the grid in 2003. Also look at Jos Verstappen's career from 1994-2004. #F1

The 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix is one of the all-time great F1 races. Four Safety Car deployments, a wet track drying out, but with Turn 3 remaining wet due to a stream of water that ends up taking out a plethora of drivers, including Schumacher, eventually the race ending with an abrupt halt. #F1

He has to be looking at George and Kimi and regretting on some level the choice he made in going to Ferrari. The Scuderia is entrenched in the romanticized glamor of the sport, but the days of Todt/Brawn/Byrne/Schumacher are looking unrepeatable in this generation. #Formula1 #F1

And there it is. Feels like a genuine end of an era for Red Bull Racing and Marko's approach to their driver development programme. This feels like a real change, a goodbye to a cerain generation that was hard-wired into the team. #F1 #Formula1

These things should be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made, of course. However, it's interesting to see that we may be entering the final days of a certain era of Red Bull Racing. Wheatley away to Sauber/Audi, Horner fired. Is Marko next? #F1 #Formula1 #RedBullRacing

It's a goodbye to Sauber Motorsport from F1. The team has raced under various forms over its long history in the sport, including Sauber Petronas, BMW Sauber, Alfa Romeo and Kick Sauber, but its takeover by Audi has a finite feel to it, a goodbye to the team. #Formula1 #AbuDhabiGP
