When one man’s whims determine “The Truth,” we can no longer call our society free or advanced, only intellectually and morally bankrupt! Those so-called leaders who abide Trump’s nonsense will be first reviled and then forgotten by history.

'Surprising': Experts React to Report U.S. Plans to Weaken Alcohol Guidance www.medpagetoday.com/special-repo...
In all my years in substance use prevention never has the government actively worked to undermine our progress until RFK Jr. took the reins of DHHS. The damage will be long-lasting.

If you blindly follow the convicted criminal; inveterate liar; serial sexual predator; chronic victim; repeat business failure; and fragile, narcissistic whiner; you are the one with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Neither the President nor the Congress is determined by the popular vote. Therefore, I find scant solace in national polls. I want to know what happens when “national” polls are taken taken state by state as are elections and Congressional votes.

Winston Churchill said, “Nothing can be more abhorrent to democracy than to imprison a person or keep him in prison because he is unpopular. This is really the test of civilization.”

If your prestigious law firm cut a deal with the Trump Administration instead of resisting its shakedown, you should find a law firm with more integrity and grit.

If the courts hold administration officials in contempt for ignoring the Supreme Court why should we believe the Trump Justice Department will enforce the order?

Our democracy is bleeding out. Death by a thousand cuts.

MSNBC talking heads think Republican policies will drive voters into Dems arms. I hope they’re right, but that presumes a return to elections as usual. What makes them believe that the fascists now in positions of control will allow that? I really want to know.

Almost one hundred people showed up outside of the Social Security offices in Ultra conservative Elko, NV to protest administration policies.

I am relieved that Crawford won the WI Supreme Court race. I am cautiously optimistic because the Republican margins narrowed in FL. I fear, however, that Democratic leadership will once more misinterpret a reaction against Republican excess as a embrace of the Democratic Party.

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

I feel like Democratic leadership has shown a persistent lack of foresight/imagination regarding the lengths to which the GOP will go to impose minority rule. I am not confident they recognize fully the peril we face with Trump and MAGA. They act like the next election will be business as usual.

I am outraged that one unelected billionaire can apparently shred our institutions, disrupt Congressionally authorized programs, and access private personal information and classified material without having been properly being vetted.

So Trump and Miller are outraged that one unelected federal judge can pause his draconian deportation plans. The constitution says the judge can do that.

A teacher in Meridian, ID, was told to take down a banner that said Everyone is Welcome Here and had illustrations of raised children’s hands indifferent colors. A school administrator claimed it was because of the hand illustrations and because not everyone agrees with the sentiment. Shameful.

President Musk’s approach to reducing waste and fraud is like that of a doctor who removes the whole limb instead of finding and excising just the tumor. It seems a lot more wasteful to me.
