I've seen 73 used as a sign off instead

Vote NO on cloture, too!

Thank you, Senator. I'd rather we shut down the government and still have a country instead of keeping it funded just to continue dismantling it.

Damn I blinked

I contacted both of my senators, who are Democrats. If they vote for this garbage CR, I'll support any replacement when their primaries come up.

I really wish I'd been able to get a PHEV Ioniq when I bought mine a few years ago, but they didn't sell them in my state. I don't think the infrastructure is ready for pure EV for when I go on longer drives, and I don't have the patience to wait for them to charge

The caption on the news broadcast irritates me. I assume they mean "pro-Palestine" when they say "anti-semitic," but they don't understand that you can want Palestinian people to be treated like human beings without hating Jewish people.

@gallego.senate.gov Senator, don't be complicit in the implementation of Project 2025 and the collapse of our country
March 6, 2025 at 10:32 PM
When they do, it should definitely have Vance and Trump as jokers on it
March 2, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Definitely. I've seen it take over a year to hire new people, in LE-sensitive positions, even without a clearance requirement. Once that person's hired, they need to be trained, and that can take even longer before they're fully capable of performing all their duties without constant supervision

I mean that musk will keep overseeing the entire government while they trade GOP presidents around. I'm expecting them to decide that anyone who didn't vote for MAGA-approved candidates can be fired
February 23, 2025 at 3:56 PM
I assume that the GOP plan is to have an unelected special administrator who runs everything, and each president just "hires" that unelected administrator. I also don't expect them to allow democratic candidates to win the presidential election, or enough seats to change the makeup of Congress

I've been reading about Gleichschaltung but it's sure interesting to live in apparently very precedented times, isn't it? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleichs...

It might need a good refreshing

I did mine and my wife's online just about a month ago, took pictures with the cell phone, and got them in the mail the other day.

If the shoe were on the other foot, Republicans wouldn't allow any business to be conducted at all

I took the basic course as a refresher after several years of riding and they had me stop covering my brakes. When I took the intermediate and advanced MSF courses, it was mentioned, but the Total Control clinic was the best for improving my skills.
