I mean I'm not for this, far from it really, but there's no real way to enforce "adult only" other than doing shit like this. If there's no ID checks there's going to be underage people in adult spaces. ID is a global moderation tool, and if you meanhaving people read your messages that's worse imo

If you mean parental intervention, the minor still needs to obtain alcohol in the first place to drink it, which can only be obtained with ID in the first place, so it takes a vastly more irresponsible parent for their child to have alcohol than to be using discord
