CC only is an absolute worst, especially considering how easy it is to fix (literally just deleting anything in brackets) to make it a normal subtitle.

I dislike his character in #TheKing'sAffection too, but nothing to do with his acting. Just how badly written the character was.

He is really good in here though.

I may be wrong, but there are three separate stories they're trying to tell in this #kdrama; For only 9 episodes, this is such an ambitious play.

So far the first two had me locked in. Please do prove me wrong that they'll wrap up this story satisfyingly in just 9 episodes.

This #kdrama reminds me of some old school Kung Fu films.

We have some guy with an unknown past that just keeps to himself, till people start pushing him too far and he turns out to be a martial artist.

Kinda nice to see a Joseon drama that's not contained in the palace.

This is one of those moments where you should remind your subtitle staff that sometimes context matters more than grammar.

He was a laborer, furious, and you made him sound like a state scholar?😅

Small things like this break my immersion in the story.

As much as I agree with this, my introvert desire not to interact with people at all during grocery shopping severely outweighs the society collective needs for a stable employment in the field of a cashier.

So yes, I will keep using self checkout when they are offered.

Either way, #LoveUntangled is a decent and predictable first-love #kdrama that doesn't deviate much from a typical romcom beat.

While it was unfortunate that the sub-plots didn't seem to fit within the ~180 minutes time, what's there was satisfying enough as long as you had no crazy expectations.

I realized it’s the same way I approach stories. I don’t always need to understand every line to feel the emotion

And maybe that’s why I’ve always said: don’t tell me a drama is good, show me.

Because just like with dialects, the truth of a story is something you feel before you can explain it.

I don’t always need to understand every line to feel the emotion. Busan Korean has that sharp, percussive rhythm like every syllable has its own heartbeat. Busan speakers also tend to drop their pitches quickly, giving a sense of "bouncing" in their dialogues.

But my favourite part was definitely noticing the heavy Busan dialects being used in this #kdrama, being that's the primary setting.

I may not speak Korean at all, but I'm getting pretty damn good at noticing their different dialects. 😅

From the earthy Jeolla dialects from #Boyhood to this one.
