The Dutch city called "The Hague" has a name meaning essentially just "The Hedge" Originally it was called 'Des Graven Hage' Which translates as 'The Prince's Grove' and now Dutch people just call it 'Den Haag' which is where the English name for it comes from. The Old English word for Hedge is Hāga

So I'm thinking of making a long form video about this map specifically and what it tells us about the Anglo Saxons in terms of their cultural understanding of the world around them and their abilities with cartography. There were people in Anglo Saxon society capable of producing a really fine map!
