I’m not sure why we’re all acting like we’re surprised that RFK’s MAHA report is made up of fake citations and false facts. You mean to tell me the guy who thinks chemtrails cause autism didn’t double-check his sources? Color me floored.

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty.

In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect.

This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus.

I’ll say it again, this isn’t about what one man did or didn’t do—it’s about whether due process still means anything, and whether the Constitution applies to everyone and will continue to apply to everyone.

This is some scary shit—and everyone needs to pay attention because it could affect any one of us.

Rachel Maddow & NPR just blew the lid off Musk’s DOGE team. A whistleblower at the NLRB says they accessed data without authorization and breached security.

The potential motive is pretty shocking.

I'm not saying anything novel here but it really is just truly despicable to watch them use THEIR OWN COLOSSAL SCREW UP to slander the reporter THEY INCLUDED ON THEIR CLASSIFIED GROUP CHAT
Mike Waltz smears Goldberg as “the bottom scum of journalists.”

This dude is delusional. Dangerously so.
Schumer told Annie Karni and Luke Broadwater: “Here’s my hope … after this election, when the Republican party expels the turd of Donald Trump, it will go back to being the old Republican party.”

But good news: I’ve always wanted to write a Pirate story but I didn’t want it to primarily be an adventure story. I didn’t want it to branch into fantasy either. Well, I think I figured out its direction today. It’s still far down on my list of priorities, but I’m excited!

Been in a weird writing space this week. Not writer’s block, but I’ve hated most of what I’ve written. I think it’s because of the limited time I’ve had to write, and I’m probably rushing to get words out while I have time. Going to try and slow it down and write through it.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes of Daredevil last night. The opening scene of Ep1 was great. Excited for more episodes.

Going to my library’s book sale this week is going to be delightful. Always my favorite time and place to buy books.

Instead of watching Mayor Humdinger address the nation tonight, I’ll be brainstorming this trip to Canada my wife and I have been talking about taking in the summer.

So, I started Cleopatra & Frankenstein on an impulsive, pressure pick today, and I’m about 60-75 mins into it and I’m hooked. I’ve always heard good things about it, so I’m not surprised, but that opening meeting between the two was really great writing.

I miss the days when I thought it would be cool to be Canadian because of maple syrup and hockey, not because the President of The United States is a lunatic muppet.

Sherlock Holmes. And, as much as I’d like to see Benedict Cumberbatch solve mysteries with a bunch of Muppets, I think a Robert Downey Jr led Muppets x Sherlock crossover would be peak cinema.
Extremely low stakes question:

What stories / franchises / characters will you watch endless amounts of reboots / retellings / reimaginings / sequels of?

Also, how would you cast the Muppets version of it? Who would be the human being?

Alright, here is my ranking of Best Picture nominees (the few I watched) that no one asked for.

Dune: Part Two
Conclave
Nickel Boys
The Substance

I thought Nosferatu and A Real Pain were better than all of them.

Time to watch Nickel Boys, which will likely be the last Oscars movie I watch before tomorrow night. I’ve been looking forward to this one.

Between that, and the absolute mess that is the country I live in, I’m in need of a pallet cleanser. Back to my Ted Lasso rewatch.

Just finished Aftersun for the first time. Gut wrenching final 25 mins or so. Really great overall. One that’s going to stick with me for a while.

Tonight might be a good night for Nickel Boys. Anora will have to wait until it hits Hulu in a few weeks.

I didn’t care to see A Compete Unknown at first, but that’s another one I’m regretting not watching in time.
