I attended the Dachau protest "against the right" yesterday - it took place on the ground where concentration camp prisoners were enslaved to work. Very moving, around 4000 demonstrators.

The CDU is planning to revoke the new citizenship law passed by the 🚦 government which will likely mean that I won't be able to get my citizenship after all and I'm devastated.

I'm a member of my neighborhood "Bezirksausschuss" in Germany - local council. The far-right AfD registered demonstrations in front of planned shelters for asylum seekers - and the members of the BA are trying to organize counter-demos. The CSU explicitly is NOT interested in joining 🤬

The German “fire wall” understood as the agreement between democratic political parties to keep the far-right indirectly & directly from power, has just collapsed. For the first time since WWII, a “democratic” party (center-right CDU) passed a policy initiative with the support of the far-right AfD.
