We're going to have to spend a few days cleaning up the mess, but it's good to make real progress.

We knew concrete dust was going to be an issue, so the guy who rented us the grinder suggested using a hose or something to wet it down. This turned the dust in to a muddy slurry, which, while a sticky, slippery mess, it did keep the dust down.

Maybe in a week or so, we'll have a whole new floor in the basement! Then new walls, fix the ceiling, and move in!

Then, the exciting part: etching the concrete with muriatic acid. Of course, we'll be setting up a series of box fans to blow the fumes out the back door. I'll have to attach the filters to them soon, maybe that'll help control the dust when we grind, too.

Today, I got concrete patching stuff to fix some old chunks taken out of the floor, and (provided it sets well) next in line is renting a concrete grinder to even out/rough up the floor.

You can't possibly make me madder than James did in *that* game of Master of Orion 2.
