It common in Essential Tremor for one forearm to have larger tremors than the other. It is also common for the two forearm tremors to be out of sync and clasping the hands together will usually minimize the combined tremor.

Orthostatic tremor occurs on standing and dissipates when the patient walks or sits down. Upon standing, the tremor increases in a crescendo fashion over seconds to minutes until the patient must either sit or walk. OT is characterized by a very high tremor frequency 14-16 Hz in the calves.

ET patients have action tremors at the frequency range of 4–12 Hz. Within individual patients, tremor frequency remains highly stable over extended periods, while tremor amplitude can fluctuate significantly over short intervals. jbiomedsci.biomedcentral.com/articles/10....

Rest tremor is a tremor that occurs when a body part is relaxed and supported. i.e. when voluntary muscle activity is absent. Read tremor is commonly associated with Parkinson’s but between 15% and 18% of Essential Tremor patients may have rest tremor.

A classic description of the disease (Essential Tremor) was presented in 1925 by the Russian neurologist Lazar Salomonowicz Minor, after which ET is often also called ‘Minor’s disease’

In 1817, James Parkinson was the first to point out that Essential Tremor was a disorder separate from Parkinson’s disease (PD), but his report was not published until 1887.

I used to paint Impressionist/Abstract Landscapes. I started an online drawing course. I couldn’t finish the first ⅓ of the first lesson due to my Essential Tremors. So I decided to do something about my shaky hands.

Action tremor (Kinetic tremor) occurs with the voluntary movement of a muscle. Commonly associated with Essential Tremor, perhaps 90% of Parkinson’s patients develop action tremor.

Is the Cala Trio, which can treat some Essential Tremors worth $3200 + $157/month ????
That was the original MRP. I understand that now Cala Health has it on offer for about $2000 + $100/month.

My start in researching Essential Tremor was because of an online drawing course that my forearm tremors stopped me from completing. This made me mad and of course my tremors got worse. Strong emotions escabate ET.

I am one of the lucky ones if anyone with Essential Tremors can be called lucky! My tremors respond to both beta blockers and alcohol. Perhaps I should be content, but I’m a malcontent about ET. essential-tremors-101.blogspot.com/2021/06/natu...
