Android is just more pliable for developers to play with. On my last phone I "de-googled" it by installing a custom ROM. You can't do that with Apple products.

I had a Google Nexus 7 tablet that lasted me for about as long. I've never had a device quite like it. Everything else seems to break within a 3 year period. Apple is overpriced dog shit but I'd suggest something like a OnePlus 12 if you care about value for money. Insanely good specifications.
