a side path that lid to a hidden memorial grave by a waterfall, a random spot off trail with a bunch of stacked stones. As a kid they were really unsettling to me and books like this bring out that feeling I had.
The demons in it were fine, its the spooky forest places that made me shudder a lil XD

its def sad! and normally I dont like books with pet death, but there is something about hidden manmade places in the woods that REALLY get to me. I grew up in northern Canada & as a kid we camped alot & I found those kinda places sometimes. An abandoned cabin you had to canoe to, (1)

can people recommend me the scariest book they have ever read? My fav is Pet Semetary and The Twisted Ones. Birdbox tho is the only book that has legit kept me awake at night (the scene with the growling dog oh my god)

I find it hard to find actual scary reads so recommends hella appreciated.
