I agree! Playing the long game against city or Liverpool is fine but definitely not against this Arsenal team haha. I mean instead of trying to score for 90min, he reduced it to the last 30min where his team was also tired and against the best defence in the world.

I think Chelsea is playing the long game here. They will attack in the 2nd half when they put in Palmer & Estevao and probably switch formation. I hope Arteta will know how to react.

I agree. He should start next week in the final CL game at home and plays at least 45min. Then another vs Wigan. Should be ready afterwards to start in the league hopefully

It feels to me a mental block. Don't know what happened but after min 25 we stopped pressing, very passive, no intensity, lost most duels, ball watching. It's like we were scared not to lose and didn't really have a go. So frustrating and disappointing.

The 2 min of added time are over and he's just keeping the ball instead of crossing or shooting! So frustrating. Cross it maybe we score, if not it's halftime but at least we tried!

I think we need Eze for Merino. We need more speed in transition and more creativity. Trossard is our best player I wouldn't change him. Saka is Saka. Maybe Jesus for Gyokeres at some point but Eze for Merino is a must. He's also on a yellow

No urgency no intensity today. Slow passing. Huge opportunity missed to get 3pts after the red card but we were very bad today. Very physically demanding week had its effect.

Yup but why increase his wages? Just keep him at his current wage if you want to. This new increase will hurt us when he'll sell him in the future. As it's the case with all the fringe players you mentioned. Hard to move them on high wages. We'll never get a decent fee for him now

Now any chance of selling Trossard for a decent fee now or next summer is dead in the water! What an absolute nonsense from the club. The guy signed a contract till 2027 so either sell him now if he's unhappy or keep him at the same wage. Why pay more! So frustrating really

We're too open, we don't have to play like this since we're leading. Too risky! Hopefully Arteta will fix this at HT.

It's true that timing is curious but they offered him a new contract before they withdrew it. So if they were just waiting for the contract to end to charge him, why offer him a new one. This offer should not have been made in the first place, a lot of baggage around him.

I don't think you or I know better than the club on this matter with all their lawyers. They would have suspended him otherwise. It's illegal to suspend if you don't have a valid reason, Mendy is suing Man City for this exact thing.

Yes totally that's why I'm disappointed they tried to renew him. But before that, during his contract you can't really do anything until the charges are brought.

Like Mendy? I'm sure you judged him and yet he was innocent at the end. Look being arrested and released, being investigated don't mean shit until the legal system's verdict. We have a system for that. Innocent until proven guilty. Only thing I wish Arsenal did was not offering a renewal.

Do you know there's a difference between an allegation and a charge? You can't suspend or fire someone based on an allegation! I can go to the police and accuse you of something. That's an allegation. Does that mean you should be fired?

He's just been charged today. I don't know how usually these go but who told you the club knew he was going to be charged all these years back? I think they were made aware recently hence the contract offer withdrawal.
