Most of the USPS ones are being scrapped or canabalized for parts & they said they won’t sell them ( most are in pretty worn/neglected shape anyway). At some point AM general offered them for sale to municipalities & rural carriers & that’s how some folks got them surplus.

Here in the states, at least in upstate New York people love these little guys. Tiny 4wd hatch backs aren’t a niche that has many candidates here
