Baen had a stable with Spider Robinson, Harry Turtledove, Mercedes Lackey back in the day, and they acted quickly as ebooks emerged with the first free library and advance copies of books available in quarterly batches. I loved Baen.

Since he died, it seems to be mostly sf war books.

I love the inclusion of the book club. All those books absolutely inform the movie, but all of them have twists and endings that make readers of those books think they know how the movie will end (and it does not).

So they reworked them, made themselves into a musical duo that fought crime, and did an album anyway.

It is seriously deeply weird and manages to out camp the Batman show.

Had this as a kid. Might still, for that matter.

Jan & Dean got the ok to cover the Batman TV show theme and wrote some original songs for a funny concept album starring Batman and Robin.

Then DC said they couldn’t use the characters. But they’d already done the songs.
