Scotsman in exile. Misanthropic, introverted, mildly opinionated pop culture sponge. Authority/go-to guy on Marvel’s Jack Of Hearts & CapWolf, so I’m told. Militantly anti-slabbing.

I love the Evil Dead franchise, but for me it’s A Simple Plan, Raimi channelling his early collaborators, The Coens, to superb effect.

And a shout out to The Gift too, an excellent ensemble cast ghost story with a genuinely terrifying turn from Mr Quantum Baby himself.

A top shelf double bill.

I love this arc. LOVE it. But you never really see anyone talk about it (or perhaps I just move in the wrong circles). Hardly surprising, since it came immediately post-Hush, so maybe it kinda got lost in the hype for that? That’s always been my assumption anyway.

IIRC, you’ve never read LW&C before, is that right?

Oh boy, you are in for a TREAT.

I feel supremely confident that you’re going to love it. It’s practically custom-designed for you.

T2 had two advertised cuts of the film on the disc, theatrical and special, but if you went to the scene selection menu and navigated to highlight Arnies eye and then input the (US) date skynet came online 8/29/97, it unlocked a third cut of the film with even more footage.

Nothing you’d care about, I’d imagine.

This year it was Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 (4 times, with different skaters), Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Really slacking on games the last few years. 2021 I completed 52 unique games. This year, 3.

🤷🏻‍♂️

If it makes you feel any better, @pinkalpacas.bsky.social and I are leaving for Crunch in 11 minutes to pick up whatever is currently waiting for me.

I’ll be sure to stand and shudder a little at the counter, just for you!

The photo is from Season 2 of The Wire.

The actor is James Ransone, who played the character Ziggy in the show.

He’s just been found dead of an apparent suicide, aged 46.

The photo was my little RIP/tribute to the man, who I always enjoyed in anything he turned up in.
