Hmm. It may be easier for you then. For me it was a problem, because macs already had a pre-installed ruby version and you had to install a package manager to actually install different versions. But ai could never get the proper one to load when needed. :/

I used to have a Jekyll site setup, and I couldn't update it, because same thing happened to me.

Spent hours on hours trying to get the right version installed, had downloaded different package managers for py/ruby, still NOTHING worked.

Gave up after a few days.

sigh.
