1. It's a side affect of the design. Most other Cryptos don't use proof of work but bitcoin won't change as it's cult now.
2. There are not at the same time. Some cryptos are private ones when most are not. You can use which suits for your use case

I don't think it was designed to reward early adopters but it's side affect.
In the same way my parents paid next to nothing for there house. A friend bought apple stock in 2005. That's more a wealth distribution question in general

Most Cryptos are "proof of stake" which is less wasteful. You could argue that "Proof of work" is worth it to have bitcoin but I don't believe that.
There are options to use private cryptos but for the non private ones they give greater transparency then we have in present financial system

It went up massively as well when Biden took over. It's linked to business cycle

It's not a scam in itself but there was bad players. It needs regulation that does not kill it. It's kind of like the internet in the early 00's now ie you wouldn't want to enter your credit card details

Twitter still has massive user base. It's getting less but it's not at tumblr stage yet in user base anyway. But hopefully getting there 😀

Hopefully it continues but I hope bluesky gets a bit more balanced with more right wing accounts as it progresses. In a cordial way of course !
